An experimental study of bending resistance of multi-size PFRC beams

Abstract To study the effects of macro- and micro-fiber on concrete beams, bending resistance tests were conducted polypropylene fiber-reinforced beams. Stepwise loaded carried out to obtain load–deflection curves for different test pieces, cracking load values first inclined crack, recording depicting crack development, changes in mid-span deflection load–strain relationships concrete, etc. The patterns failure modes observed. research findings have shown that ultimate beams doped with multi-size fiber is 58.31 34.08% higher than ordinary single macro-fiber, respectively. Notably, anti-bending bearing capacity significantly improves following addition macro-fiber. Polypropylene can offset defects caused by remarkably suppress development cracks, control deformation due dimensions.
